Can York Become a Dementia-Friendly City?

Janet Dean of the Dean Knight Partnership is pleased to be working as an Associate of AESOP Consortium to jointly lead this innovative research project for the Joseph Rowntree Foundation.

The project addresses the issue of the growing number of people with Dementia and asks the question 'Can York become a Dementia-friendly City?

Service users, their carers and families will be at the heart of the project which will enable people to visit the best examples of services around the country. The project will look at innovation in health and social care, but also in housing, transport, leisure and neighbourhood facilities.

DKP wins Harbourgh DC Leadership contract

The Dean Knight Partnership is pleased to announce the delivery of a new Leadership Development Programme for Harborough District Council which starts in June 2011 and will run for six months

Commissioned by Interim Chief Executive Anna Graves, the programme will consist of four themed workshops and two action learning workshops facilitated by Janet Dean. These will help the Council's Management Board to address its challenges for the future and build the individual and collective skills of the team.

The project is also the first commission for a new collaborative venture between Janet Dean and Steve Loraine who launched The Open Channel in May 2011. The Open Channel will deliver telephone coaching to the seven members of the Management Board alongside the workshop programme
