As Consultant Director Keith oversaw a feasibility study carried out by a team of specialist consultants. Responsible for investigating the significance of the building and based on new evidence, Keith applied to the Department of Culture Media and Sport to upgrade the building from to grade II* (two star), thus opening up the possibility of funding from English Heritage. The owners subsequently offered the building to the Trust together with a substantial endowment to cover urgent repair works.
